I’m hustling to make sure your day is one to remember. And if it’s still a little hazy? Well, I’ve got some photos for that.
With me, you’ll get a dynamic mix of candid and posed shots that capture the energy, atmosphere, excitement, nerves, and frame-worthy moments of the day. While there won’t be any stray hair ties on your wrist or beer cans in the background, there will be a sense that I was there for every intimate moment, especially the ones you thought I wasn’t watching.
In a previous life I was: back-up singer for Phoebe Buffay and songwriter for Smelly Cat
I love love almost as much as I love: a movie night in with Crumbl cookies.
On a Saturday at midnight, I can be found: shooting a wedding farewell or on the dance floor at my local gay bar.
If people were games, I’d be: The Settlers of Catan
If I had to choose between karaoke and baking, I’d say: how dare you.
When people ask me how I win over in-laws, I tell them: don’t hate the player, hate the game.
I’m torn between: a horror movie and a rom-com.
My secret party trick is: my puns… ask your mom.
I grew up with parents in the film industry and always had a love of video — just don't ask to see the embarrassing films I made as a kid.
My documentary-style approach means I'm constantly looking for the details people miss. I'm there to help you be the stars of your own movie, where from the front row, you'll rewatch your incredible day all over again. Discretionary popcorn is advised.
To this day I'll sleep anywhere for the sake of being with nature, whether it's camping in the summer or sleeping in my RAV4 with my snowboard in ski season. When I'm not chasing powder, I'm chasing ultimate frisbees.
I love thrifting, and making homemade Caesar Salad (it’s the recipe from the New York Times—IYKYK). For me, photography acts like a touchstone to memories we might otherwise forget. Helping you share them with others is just another perk that gets me up in the morning.
My approach to photography is a mixture of documentary and directive. For the majority of your day, I’ll be a fly on the wall, photographing moments as they happen and capturing candid shots. For a small part of your day though? I’ll be leading you through poses, making sure you’re feeling comfortable and confident — but never cheesy. Let’s leave that to the grazing table.
I have been reliving our wedding day through these photos — every laugh, interaction, and happy smile was captured with candid honesty. I truly can’t share enough positive notes that convey how great of a choice we made when hiring you. Your style, fun and fabulous personality, and organization approach was EXACTLY what we were looking for.
Our day was pretty wild, we had pretty crazy weather. We had hurricane winds that broke decorations and changed our plans, but throughout it all Annaleisa was calm and with such high spirits. I was so nervous that we didn't get a single good picture through shivering and even bleeding but Annaleisa is incredibly talented and we have hundreds of breath-taking photos to choose from!Annaleisa was the only person at our elopement due to the pandemic and she made us feel so comfortable and truly added to our day to make it special! My (now) husband and I hope we are able to visit Colorado again and have a chance to do another session with Annaleisa in the future!
Not only is she incredibly talented, she is also a total pro and makes you feel like you've known her forever! She did both our engagement photos and wedding photos, and although neither of us actually enjoy having our photos taken, she made it painless and fun! We cannot recommend her enough!
